2023 Event Calendar Launched

Published 22nd December 2022 by Andrea Susanne Opielka

Powering into 2023 the Qatar Airways GKA Kite World Tour rolls into life as early as the fourth week of the new year with events running right through until December, so it’s sure to be a packed year of enthralling action across the Freestyle, Kite-Surf, Hydrofoil-Freestyle as well as the Big Air disciplines.

The first event to be held at the Fuwairit Kite Beach Resort in Qatar opens the season with the GKA Freestyle Kite World Cup Qatar from 31st January. The resort then re-hosts the tour for the closing Freestyle finale, where the World Champions will be crowned, from 05 – 09th December.

Between those dates the tour embarks on its biggest adventure yet, with events across four continents, including 9 destinations making their tour debuts! You will also notice the launch of the Big Air discipline becoming a fixture on tour, not just a standalone championship as it was in 2022!

Don’t miss any of the action through the ever-broadening scope of the livestreams as well as the action-rich daily highlight videos.
