That's a wrap for today! Unfortunately, despite an optimistic forecast, the strong wind conditions that we need did not materialise today. The organisation are now focusing on Friday and Saturday as possible competition days, as it looks like the strong levante will be kicking in.

The Hydrofoil competition kicked-off the action at the Qatar Airways GKA Big Air World Championships in fine stye at Bibo Beach on day six of this 16 day waiting period. A strong 25 knot Poniente wind powered the riders for an incredible show all Sunday afternoon.
After a full day big action, Charles Brodel became the official Qatar Airways GKA Bi Air Hydrofoil World Champion!

There is still plenty more to come as Tuesday is seen as the next possible day of competition for the strapless discipline, and for women’s twin-tip.

We had an insane afternoon at Valdevaqueros Beach for the Qatar Airways Big Air World Championships as we ran the Hydrofoil discipline in strong poniente winds.

The final results are:

Charles Brodel was delighted to become the 2022 Qatar Airways GKA Big Air Hydrofoil World Champion 🔥
