It was a glorious sunny day today here in Sylt with crowds lining the beach at a bustling event site.

With no wind to work with, the riders joined forces with local kiters and surfers to take part in a 100 person paddle out to raise awareness about ocean pollution. The issue of climate change is impossible to ignore, and the plight of our planet’s oceans is paramount to the GKA Kite World Tour riders and crew.

In the below video, the riders deliver a simple message about a serious problem.

The wind returns tomorrow with a solid forecast for the last day of the event.

It’s going to be all about the strapless freestyle Expression Session!

First Possible Start – 13:00

Stay tuned to GKA socials for updates.
