Visit Qatar GKA Freestyle-Kite World Cup – riders relax ahead of the finals likely to run on Friday

Round one of the 2023 Qatar Airways GKA Kite World Tour running 31 January – 04 February. Find the official live event page here

Thursday 02 February:
As the wind remained light all day on Thursday (day four of six), the riders took the chance to visit Doha and enjoy an after through sunset boat cruise in the waters surrounding this incredible city that lies an hour and 20 minutes south of Fuwairit Kite Beach.

The tension is building because Friday still looks set for a return to solid northerly winds that should allow completion of this event!

An early start is scheduled to ensure everyone’s ready as soon as the tide and wind align for the best possible conditions.

Friday’s skipper’s briefing is at 06.30am / first possible start time: 06.45am (GMT +3).

See how the men’s quarter finals and women’s semi-finals played out on day two here.
