Preá is a three to four drive north of Fortaleza on the coastline of Ceará in northeastern Brazil. It’s a famously windy spot and it blows practically non-stop here during the season with pumping conditions pretty much on tap.

Prevailing winds
The further north you travel in Ceará the stronger the winds get and that’s certainly the case in Preá. It blows non-stop at at least 25 knots from the east or northeast (from the left) between July and January and is at its strongest from September to November.
Water conditions
Preá is a tidal spot with flat sections close to the beach, chop on the outside and a range of wave spots nearby that work better in the afternoons once the wind is up.
Competition history
The GKA has yet to visit Brazil but the first event is going down in November!
