This year the Kite Park League is proud to announce a new partnership with THE QATAR AIRWAYS GKA KITE WORLD TOUR to present THE QATAR AIRWAYS GKA KITE PARK LEAGUE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024.

The event will be held from August 3rd - 10th and will crown this years QATAR AIRWAYS GKA KITE PARK WORLD CHAMPIONS 2024 in both men’s and women’s divisions. Without question, this will be a week to remember.

The stunning city of Viana do Castelo forms the backdrop just a few kilometres away from this brand new spot on the GKA Kite-Surf World Tour.

Prevailing cross-shore wind from the right. Thermal winds are increased when the wind is from the north and the temperature's right in the summer.

Water conditions

Clean flat water in the shelter of the port, with good wave and surf conditions when there's swell. In the summer expect a fun sized swell rather than more serious winter conditions. The natural horseshoe shape of the bay also means that the wind conditions are safe for all levels of rider.
