Qatar Airways GKA Kite World Tour and GWA Wingfoil World Tour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the marketing efforts for the GKA Kite World Tour and GWA Wingfoil World Tour. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in sports marketing, event promotion, and brand management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns to enhance the visibility, engagement, and overall success of both World Tours.

 

Your Role:
As the CMO, you’ll be at the forefront of our mission to elevate the tours’ visibility, engagement, and impact. You’ll craft and execute marketing strategies that resonate with both seasoned athletes and newcomers, sponsors and spectators. You will also take care of the World Tour sponsors.

Both Tours bring together top athletes, stunning windy locations, and cutting-edge media coverage to create an unforgettable experience for participants and fans.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Identity Creation: 

  • Develop and refine the unique brand identity for the GKA Kite World Tour and GWA Wingfoil World Tour. Craft a compelling narrative that embodies the spirit of these sports and resonates with the global audience.

     

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the goals of the GKA Kite World Tour and GWA Wingfoil World Tour.

  • Identify target audiences and create tailored marketing campaigns to attract participants, sponsors, and spectators.

  • Collaborate with event organizers, sponsors, and stakeholders to align marketing efforts with overall tour objectives.

     

Brand Management:

  • Visual Identity: Create and maintain a consistent visual identity for the events, including logos, colors, typography, and design elements.

  • Brand Guidelines: Create and manage brand guidelines that maintain consistency in visuals, messaging, and tone across all touchpoints.

  • Ensure the execution of our CI at the World Tour events.

 

Digital Marketing:

  • Oversee the development and management of tour websites, social media platforms, video production and email marketing campaigns.

     

Event Promotion:

  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote individual tour events, focusing on maximizing attendance and participant registration.

  • Collaborate with event organizers to ensure effective cross-promotion and consistent messaging as well as the enforcement of the World Tours’ CI and its brandings.

     

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using relevant metrics and analytics tools.

  • Conduct a post-event evaluation to assess the effectiveness of the branding strategy and identify areas for improvement in future events.

     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in sports marketing, event promotion, and brand management.

  • Strong understanding of the events sports industries, with experience in water sports events being a plus.

  • Exceptional digital marketing skills, including social media management, and content creation…

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative marketing campaigns.

  • Proficiency in analytics tools to track and measure campaign effectiveness.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, event organizers, and stakeholders.

  • Willingness to travel to tour events as required.

  • Fluent English spoken and written.
