The riders and team have arrived, ready for the start of the 2020 GKA Kite World Tour!

Registration for the event will open at 10:00 tomorrow morning, there will be an autograph session at 17:00 in the Robinson Club Hotel.  If you’re in Cape Verde this is your chance to meet some of the most well known kitesurfers in the world!

We’re expecting a new record to be set at rider inscriptions tomorrow, with 20+ female athletes anticipated to register for this event. Never before have we had so many women interested in participating in the World Tour, with International Women’s Day approaching on the 8th of March, it seems only appropriate to celebrate some of the ladies that have been leading the way over the last 12 months.

Our current female Kite-Surf World Champion Carla Herrera will be competing this week and we’re excited to see her back in action after the winter training months. Carla and the female Kite-Surf competitors have obviously been a great inspiration to other women in the sport, with so many new riders joining us in 2020. We’re looking forward to seeing some new faces, both male and female, when registration opens tomorrow!

Find out who registers for the event and follow the livestream when it starts here
