Lords Of Tram GKA Big Air Kite World Cup France 2026

The GKA Kite World Tour is heading back to Le Barcarès, France for the first Big Air stop of the 2026 season—and for good reason. Known across European wind sports as a true “Tramontana arena,” Barcarès delivers the kind of clean, powerful wind that turns Big Air into a spectacle: huge boosts, committed megaloops, and full-power kite control when the conditions light up.

A proven Big Air venue—built for the Tramontana
What makes Barcarès special is the Tramontana, a strong, often violent northerly wind that blasts down toward the coast from the Pyrenees, creating the high-wind days Big Air was made for. It’s the same wind that has already powered unforgettable GKA action here—most recently with the wind “roaring at full force” during the 2025 event.

Month-long waiting period = best possible show
To ensure the competition runs in true Big Air conditions, the event operates on a month-long waiting window. Rather than forcing a fixed-date contest, GKA can call competition on the strongest Tramontana day—maximizing safety, fairness, and the likelihood of an all-time highlight reel. For 2026, the event window is listed as March 28 – April 26, 2026.

100% twin-tip Big Air for men and women This World Cup is fully dedicated to twin-tip Big Air, featuring both Men’s and Women’s divisions—pure progression, pure power, and a venue that rewards riders who can go bigger and still land clean under pressure.

Put Barcarès on your calendar for April—but check back for updates, because when the Tramontana turns on, Lords of Tram isn’t waiting, its green light go time!
